VoiceFlow Journal ("we," "our," or "us") is built on a fundamental principle: your journal is yours alone. Unlike most apps, we've designed VoiceFlow Journal so that your personal data never leaves your device. This privacy policy explains exactly how we protect your information.

What We Don't Collect

This is the most important part: we don't collect your journal entries, voice recordings, or personal insights. All of this stays on your device.

• Your journal entries and voice recordings
• Your AI-generated insights and mood data
• Your photos or attachments
• The content of your thoughts in any form

On-Device Processing

All voice transcription and AI analysis happens entirely on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's on-device machine learning frameworks. This means:

• Voice-to-text conversion happens locally on your device
• AI insights are generated using Apple's Core ML
• Your data never touches our servers
• The app works completely offline

Data Storage

Your journal data is stored locally on your device using iOS's secure data storage. It's protected by:

• iOS device encryption
• Face ID or Touch ID authentication (when enabled)
• App-level security measures

If you choose to use iCloud backup for your device, your journal data may be included in that backup. This is controlled by your iOS settings, not by us.

What We May Collect

We may collect limited, anonymized data to improve the app:

• Crash reports: If the app crashes, we may receive anonymous crash data through Apple's standard crash reporting (if you've enabled this in your iOS settings)
• App Store analytics: Basic download and usage statistics provided by Apple
• Newsletter signup: If you choose to sign up for updates on our website, we store your email address
• Contact form submissions: If you contact us, we store your message and email to respond

Premium Subscriptions

If you subscribe to Premium, your payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation that you have an active subscription.

Third Parties

We don't sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties. The only "third party" involved is Apple, through:

• App Store distribution and payments
• On-device machine learning frameworks
• Optional iCloud backup (controlled by you)

Your Rights

Because your data stays on your device, you have complete control:

• Export: Export your journal entries at any time as PDF or JSON
• Delete: Delete individual entries or all data from within the app
• Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all associated data from your device

Children's Privacy

VoiceFlow Journal is intended for users aged 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any significant changes through the app or our website. The "last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were made.
